Have you ever thought of combining your creative interests with a riding vacation? Look no further! Elkhorn compliments a handful of weeks with creative workshop programs at no additional cost.

Musicians interested in Old-Time music gather at Elkhorn Ranch January 7 – 14, 2018 to ride by day and make music by night. Instructors provide lessons during most afternoons to individuals or groups. If you’re familiar with this genre, you’ll love the energy, skills and heritage brought together by the instructors. If you’re not familiar but wish to learn, the atmosphere is low-key, inviting and friendly to all ability levels. The assembled group usually brings along samples of their own favorites and every year is unique!

Photography and natural history workshop week January 21 – 28, 2018 attracts people who enjoy riding and wandering with camera in hand. It is a week of creative camaraderie and the chance to ask questions and seek help with topics ranging from camera operation to composition to creative ways to share photos using current technology.

Elkhorn Ranch welcomes western artist in residence Micheal Ewing April 1 – 8, 2018. You’ll be able to watch a painting inspired by ranch life evolve over the course of the week and enjoy some informal evening talks by Micheal, including a drawing lesson!
