Home cooked meals are served buffet style at the Long House three times a day and you can order hot breakfast of your choice for a healthy start. Meals are well-balanced, nutritiously prepared and the variety appeals to most appetites. A picnic lunch cooked over an open fire on the desert is a weekly treat, as well as a couple of all day rides with sack lunches or camp cooking. The ranch has no bar, rather those who wish may entertain at their own cabins. Beer, wine and soft drinks are available for sale in the ranch office store.

The kitchen happily accommodates birthday or anniversary celebrations or special dietary needs or preferences with advance notice.

The Elkhorn kitchen is happy to accommodate allergies or other special needs with advance notice. There are few things that stump us, however we are not equipped to prepare food according to strict kosher standards.

There is no bar on the ranch but you will find beer, wine and various soft drinks available for purchase in the office. Most cocktail partying takes place in guests’ cabins before dinner. All cabins are supplied with bar glasses, ice bucket, bar rag, corkscrew and snack bowls. Wine glasses are available in the dining room if you would like to bring wine to dinner and we recommend that you share your bottle with your table. Everyone gathers at ranch hosted cocktail time gatherings a couple nights a week, generally on Sunday upon arrival and then Thursday for margaritas and steaks!

We had such a wonderful time at the ER+ this spring.  You run a super impressive operation and all of the folks on your team were very professional and cheerful.  Three cheers to the crew in the kitchen – great meals.  We also enjoyed our picnic on the way home …
