Elkhorn Ranch attracts primarily adult guests during much of its mid-November through April winter season. Families favor holiday and spring school vacation weeks, leaving many prime weeks of southern Arizona’s winter tourist season free for adult visitors. Arizona sunshine, birding and spring flowers are a powerful tonic for winter cold and ice!

Elkhorn riders can’t ride until they turn 6 and we’re proud to say the people have stayed in the saddle up to age 96! Many people ride high into the mountains well into their 70s, 80s, and early 90s. We like to say that Elkhorn is a place for “kids of all ages” and that many people nourish their youthful selves with a few weeks of ranch life.

If you don’t wish to ride, we hope you’ll still consider an Elkhorn visit. The heated swimming pool, walking or hiking, birds and most of all Arizona sunshine and the companionship are good medicine for all — especially during icy cold grey winter months.

When you call to check availability, please let us know if you’d prefer an adult oriented week. Elkhorn Ranch offers discounted rates for 2 and 3 + week stays, so once you’ve made the flight, consider staying awhile! There are scattered openings throughout the season including prime-time early flower season in mid-late February! Give us a call and we’ll find perfect weeks for you!
